Whitney has been active within the realm of healthcare since 2007. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Memphis. Furthering her pursuit of knowledge, she also holds a Master of Science in Nursing Degree with a concentration in Family Practice from Tennessee State University.
She began her nursing career working in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit where she was involved with the Unit Practice Counsel that contributed to various initiatives to improve patient care. Whitney was also the recipient of the distinguished Nursing Star Award for her participation in providing exceptional patient care within the critical care environment.
In 2012, she joined an outpatient center that provides innovative endovascular care for dialysis patients and individuals with peripheral arterial disease. Once she moved into her newly acquired role as a Nurse Practitioner, she pioneered blueprints for protocols to effectively evaluate and manage this complex patient population. From there, Whitney made a move into the highly complex primary care sector where she was able to break the traditional boundaries of fragmented care to facilitate a more holistic approach.
While working in primary care Whitney surprisingly discovered that her true passion is managing patients with varying psychiatric concerns. She is truly excited to join the renowned team at Germantown Private Psychiatry where she hopes to foster an environment conducive to patients’ personal growth.
